Says Adrienne Yentis

Says Adrienne YentisA friend of mine recently was riding on the heath
and she came across a group of cattle strung out across the bridlepath with no way through – the only way off was to turn round. Fortunately her horse
remained calm throughout. But you can imagine how a nervous horse might react ........... read more

Berks Wildlife Trust and West Berks CC

Tony Barnett makes an FOI request

"My FOI is for copies of the alleged ownership by the council of Greenham & Crookham Commons....Wokefield common.....Snelsmere common....Bucklebury common...and for copies of the negotiations made between the wildlife trust for the alleged grants of easement. "

Says Tony Barnett

Says Tony BarnettStatements and claims that west Berks wildlife Trust own and or have management deals with West Berks CC on the common lands listed below.

As I have previously dealt with Padworth common which was subject to a planning application by Paul Hendry of West Berks CC, which was refused by PINS.

Objections were made and I was one of the objectors, my objections was that the council were not owners and in fact had no locus stan-di even if it had the common lands vested in it by the Commons Commissioner in 1965, my application for copies of the common owners register to show rights on and over the common land was disclosed, but did not contain the original first registration of ownership or manner in which the land was allegedly conveyed to it,or could be disclosed, the council still allegedly made grants of easement to West Berks WT.

Further applications under the 2005 FOI need to be made where the council still claims rights to grant easements to the trust, these common lands are; Greenham & Crookham Commons....Wokefield common.....Snelsmere common....bucklebury common.

West Berks CC failed in its attempt to have itself registered as owners of Padworth common, so it would be prudent for the consent/grant of easement to be to be extinguished.

My FOI is then for copies of the alleged ownership by the council of the afore mentioned common lands and for copies of the negotiations made between the wildlife trust for the alleged grants of easement.
